Biographies


RONALD J. SLOY, CFP
 
Ronald Sloy, began his career in the financial services industry in 1981.  He became a registered representative for Financial Network Investment Corporation and was an Investment Advisor for Interwest Financial Advisory Group through 1985.  In 1985 Ron received his CFP [Certified Financial Planner] designation from The Denver College of Financial Planning.  In 1986 he helped form Sloy, Dahl & Holst, Inc., a Registered Investment Advisory and consulting firm, in which he remains a principal.
 
Ron specializes in the evaluation and analysis of corporate retirement plan investment performance, and cost to benefit ratios. He also provides wealth management for high net-worth individuals.
 
Ron attended University of Oregon and Portland State University and received a CFP designation from the Denver College of Financial Planning in 1985.  He is a member of the Institute of Certified Financial Planners and the International Association of Financial Planning. 

 

JAMES C. HOLST, CFP

Jim Holst has been in practice for over 20 years, principally in the area of retirement and estate planning to meet the needs of small to medium sized businesses and individuals. He has a strong analytical background in investments and portfolio management and has provided investment management services to a variety of Profit Sharing and Money Purchase Pension Plans, and Trusts.

Jim also practices extensively with individuals who need assistance in managing the assets they have accumulated. He enjoys playing a key role in his client's estate and retirement planning needs, believing that a coordinated team approach of all the client's advisors will enable the client to receive the best solution for every situation.

Jim  is a principal with Sloy, Dahl & Holst, Inc., a fee-based Financial Planning and Investment firm registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission. While with Sloy, Dahl & Holst, Inc., he has developed a number of the computer models the firm uses for asset allocation and money management. These models assist in structuring portfolios that balance risk and rate of return.

1980 graduate of Oregon State University, School of Business. 1983 graduate of the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado.  Jim belongs to the American Association of Individual Investors and the Institute of Certified Financial Planners. Additionally, he is a speaker at a variety of financial planning seminars.
